As we all know, Search Engine crawler can’t read image. How to make image on our website are readable ? Alt tags can help us to do that. Alt Tags is useful for optimizing image on your site. But is it a must or not ?

If you run a website with contains a lot of image, Yes alt tags is a must. Because when search engine crawler crawl your site, you give crawler something to read. It is a part of image optimization. There’s several things to do to optimize the image on your site. ie: use keywords on the image file name. Do not use empty space (this my image.jpg). Better use : this-my-image.jpg. Use keyword on Alt tags to (alt=”this my image keyword”). Remeber : make it natural so it won’t look spammy.
