Wordpress 2.5 and Built in Gallery
March 30th, 2008 | by seolearner |Wordpress 2.5 has been released. And one of my favorite changes are on built in gallery. No need to use plugin anymore. uuuh yeahhh. Overall this is such a huge update to the wordpress blog platform system.
The improvements in 2.5 are numerous, and almost entirely a result of your feedback: multi-file uploading, one-click plugin upgrades, built-in galleries, customizable dashboard, salted passwords and cookie encryption, media library, a WYSIWYG that doesn’t mess with your code, concurrent post editing protection, full-screen writing, and search that covers posts and pages.
The popular blogging platform spent six months on this latest release, twice their normal development cycle, but there were some pretty big changes they wanted to implement. The most radical change is a complete overhaul to the admin area with a new dashboard with better organization as well as new stat tracking widgets.
